Serbia boss Sinisa Mihajlovic thinks that former club Inter have what it takes to fight for the Scudetto this season.

The Nerazzurri have made substantial changes to their squad over the summer and results have been mixed.

Although they are seventh in the standings, they have lost two of their four Serie A games to date – both at home to Roma and Siena.

Mihajlovic, however, has confidence that the Beneamata will find their feet under the inexperienced Andrea Stramaccioni.

“There is always a lot of pressure in Nerazzurro,” Mihajlovic, who played for the club and also acted as an assistant to Roberto Mancini, stated.

“I don’t think it is a coincidence that results have not arrived since Jose Mourinho left the club…

“Stramaccioni is a young Coach and he’ll do well. Despite the results so far, Inter have what is needed to get back into the group of Scudetto challengers. They’ll have a good season.”

Inter are next in action on Wednesday when they face Chievo Verona.
