The Nerazzurri are in the market for midfield recruitments and are seen as closing in on Yann M’Vila from Rubin Kazan and potentially still pressing for Valon Behrami.

However, talks over the latter reportedly remain stalled over Napoli’s €10m valuation and the Gazzetta dello Sport say it has led sporting director Piero Ausilio to consider other options.

It is believed that one such option is Mateo Kovacic’s international teammate Marcelo Brozovic, who is currently part of Croatia’s World Cup squad out in Brazil.

Reports are that Inter have already tabled one bid for the 21-year-old around the €4m mark, but that his club Dinamo Zagreb turned it down, for falling below their unspecified valuation.
