Inter are being linked with a January swoop for Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer, as Stefano Pioli does not trust Jeison Murillo.

Since taking over from Frank de Boer, Pioli has dropped Murillo in favour of Gary Medel and then Andrea Ranocchia.

The Colombia international is believed to be on the way out of the club during the January transfer window.

According to Milli Gazete, the Nerazzurri have made the first approach with Fenerbahce to discuss Kjaer’s situation.

The 27-year-old Dane has a contract to June 2019, but above all can already count on Serie A experience due to his time at Palermo and Roma.

Fenerbahce only signed Kjaer just over a year ago from Lille for €7.5m.
