The pint-sized Italian Under-21 international is making a name for himself this term during a loan spell at Pescara.

Insigne belongs to the Azzurri though after graduating through their youth programme and there are suggestions that the stylish attacker could be back at the San Paolo for 2012-13.

“I’ll return to Napoli at the end of the season,” the 20-year-old told Radio Mana Mana.

“If I am given the chance to be a first reserve for Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani then I’ll stay. If, however, I am seen as the fifth or sixth choice then I’d prefer to go somewhere else at that stage.”

Insigne has taken some big steps forward over the past two years after spells at Foggia and now Pescara under 4-3-3 boss Zdenek Zeman.

“It would be nice to stay at Pescara for another year, perhaps even in Serie A,” continued the Frattamaggiore-native.

“I wouldn’t change anything of Zeman. He has great experience and we can do well with him.”

Insigne, banned from today’s U-21 tie against Turkey, is part of a Pescara side who are joint second in Serie B – five points behind Torino.
