Lorenzo Insigne is set to be the captain on his birthday when Italy face the Netherlands in tomorrow’s friendly.

It kicks off at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin on Monday at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

Coach Roberto Mancini already announced his starting XI in the Press conference for this third match of his reign, after a 2-1 win over Saudi Arabia and 3-1 defeat to France.

The Nazionale armband always goes to the player with the most caps, and as this is a very experimental line-up, that man is Insigne.

It is a special occasion for Insigne anyway, as Monday is also the Napoli forward’s 27th birthday.

So far, he has 25 senior Italy caps, scoring four goals and providing two assists.

Italy: Perin; Zappacosta, Caldara, Romagnoli, Criscito; Cristante, Jorginho, Bonaventura; Verdi, Belotti, Insigne
