Lorenzo Insigne says Napoli “respect Udinese” but “we don’t fear them because we’re Napoli”.

The Partenopei haven’t won in their last three games, but the Italian international isn’t worried by the trip to face the Zebrette.

“We’ll be fired-up in Udine as always, not least because it hasn’t been easy to get three points lately,” Insigne promised on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“We’ve never lacked performances, so with those the results will come too. We’ve played some great games, but lacked some goals: we’re human.

“We’ve been back at work since yesterday and we’re fired-up to 2000. We want to go to Udine and play a great game.

“Udinese are in great form, but we’re not worried about that because we’re Napoli. We respect them, but we don’t fear them.

“That goes for the Champions League match against Dynamo [Kiev] too, which will be a crucial game.

“We’ll go to Udine knowing that we’re facing a great team, but we know that we can always cause problems for our opponents.

“Then after Udine there will be Dynamo, another tough test.”

Maurizio Sarri’s men have struggled to score recently, how much is Arkadiusz Milik’s absence affecting them?

“Although we don’t have Milik, and we’re sad about his injury, we’re creating a lot. That’s important, because sooner or later the wheel will turn.

“Napoli are alive, I’d urge the fans to get behind us between now and Christmas, we won’t give up a single centimetre, both ourselves and the Coach. Then we can have a peaceful Christmas together.”

The playmaker has been alternating with Dries Mertens, but insists there’s no animosity with the Belgian.

“It’s all nonsense, this rivalry has been created by others,” Insigne insisted.

“I get along with Dries both on and off the pitch. Also because being rotated is beyond our control, those are the Coach’s choices.”
