Lorenzo Insigne “would be very happy” to get an Italy call for Euro 2016, but if not he’ll focus on Napoli.

The playmaker was dropped from Azzurri CT Antonio Conte’s most recent squad, with suggestions he was being punished for pulling out of a previous squad with injury.

“The national team? Let’s hope so,” Insigne told Rai.

“I’m working very hard with Napoli, and I’d be very happy, but if the call doesn’t come I’ll continue to work, thinking about Napoli.”

The Partenopei had been tipped for the Scudetto in many quarters, but have taken just one point from their last two games.

“We have to give our all and stay calm, so we can achieve important goals. I don’t think anything has happened, even with Roma we drew, but dominated the game.

“We were the only ones who believed in winning the game until the end.”
