The Italian international has been sidelined since November after undergoing knee surgery, but his agent hints the Partenopei man will soon return to action.

“Since November, Lorenzo has shown strong desire to get back on the pitch,” Antonio Ottaiano told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“Dr. Mariani who visited him in recent days has said that the knee is completely healed, as if the injury had never happened.

“It’s all progressing as well as possible.”

The agent also talked up the possibility of a partnership between his client and Manolo Gabbiadini.

“Insigne-Gabbiadini would definitely make a good partnership. They’ve already played together for the [Italy] Under-21s and shown great talent."
