“We all hope that Insigne can become the Totti of Napoli, but he needs their blessing to become that,” Andreotti told Radio CRC.
“At the end of the season we’ll take stock of the situation. We’re going in search of a project which states that Lorenzo is fundamental.
“The renewal isn’t important, but it must be set out that Insigne will become the cornerstone of this project with Napoli.
“Technically he already is, but he needs to see it in other respects. The ambition of the guy is to stay with the Azzurri for life, he wants to write important history here.
“This won’t only depend on him, but also on De Laurentiis. Through Giuntoli, the club has declared its willingness to plan an important future for Insigne.
“Lorenzo’s going through this moment calmly, with Napoli going to Roma with a five-point advantage.”
