Hamsik’s solo effort cancelled out a Ricardo Quaresma penalty in Istanbul for a 1-1 draw.

“We knew that Napoli were strong and I’ve never stopped watching them,” ex-Partenopei captain Inler told Mediaset Premium.

“I like their style of football, but today we wanted a win to go top of the group. I expected my former teammates to have a strong reaction considering the performance against Juventus.

“I have a good rapport with everyone at Napoli, they are my brothers. As soon as I saw Hamsik get ready to shoot, I knew we were in trouble. He’s a great player and a great captain.

“Napoli are a different team without Arkadiusz Milik and it’s a real pity for him and the club. Naturally, it’s different when they play with Dries Mertens or Manolo Gabbiadini in attack.

“This is a point that is good for Napoli and Besiktas. I hope that Napoli can win the Scudetto.”
