Inter hope to have Walter Samuel back in time for the Champions League against Olympique Marseille after tests confirmed a thigh strain.

The defender went off at half-time during the 4-0 defeat to Roma on Sunday afternoon and today it was announced tests found a left thigh strain that was between first and second degree in terms of damage.

It is hoped Samuel can recover in time for the Champions League clash on February 22.
