Inter fans were unsure what to make of Juan Cuadrado when he arrived from Juventus, but injuries have forced the Colombian veteran to slip out of view at the club.
The 35-year-old ended an eight-year association with the Bianconeri in the summer after leaving on a free transfer. After taking a few weeks to decide his future, he ultimately decided to pen a one-year contract with Juventus’ bitter rivals Inter.
Cuadrado was booed by the Inter fans on his San Siro debut back in August but there was still hope that he’d be a useful part of Simone Inzaghi’s squad in their quest for their second Scudetto star.
As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, injuries have meant Cuadrado has hardly made a splash at Inter since arriving, seeing just 97 minutes of action across four games this term.
The 35-year-old has already missed nine games across Serie A and the Champions League through irritation to his Achilles tendon, and isn’t expected to return until after the November international break.
Considering his issues this season, it currently seems unlikely that Inter will offer Cuadrado a new contract for next season.
