With the loan deal expiring next summer, Inglese is scheduled to join up with Maurizio Sarri’s team at the end of June.

“Napoli started their pursuit of me at seven o’clockin the evening,” Inglese recalled to Gazzetta dello Sport when asked about his deadline day transfer.

“The transfer window closed at 11 so it had to happen quickly, then I reset.

“I was good. Since the day after I haven’t thought about it anymore, nor about the €12m.”

The 26-year-old added that there are no plans to review his loan situation in January.

“I only work at 100 miles an hour. I will start thinking about it again when I go.

“Right now, there is just the loan at Chievo until June and no plans to review it in January.”
