Ciro Immobile says he returns to Torino ‘with great humility’ and believes he ‘developed technically’ in Spain and Germany.

The striker returned to the Granata last week after unsuccessful spells with Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla, scoring a penalty on his debut against Frosinone.

He was presented to the media today and underlined his enthusiasm for the chance to play more regularly.

“I want to thank the President because he’s always treated me like a son, along with the club that made a great effort to bring me here,” he said at today’s Press conference.

“It was also thanks to my desire that we managed it. I preferred to get back in the game rather than staying in a place where I wasn’t playing or playing very little.

“I went through bad moments that made me stronger. I’ve returned with great enthusiasm and the desire to work with humility. I think I’ve developed on a technical level, in my movement and in the protection of the ball.

“I always think that a club like Torino should aspire to great things. There are difficulties, but we must go forward like we played against Frosinone.

“I’ve found a team that’s a little bit nervous but we responded well on the pitch.”
