Returning to Torino means ‘I’ll have a chance for Euro 2016’, says new signing Ciro Immobile.

The striker returned to the Granata last week after failing to impress at first Borussia Dortmund and then Sevilla.

The 25-year-old believes being back in Serie A will bolster his chances of a place in Antonio Conte’s squad this summer, after being left out recently.

“I think that Conte was always clear about the national team,” Immobile said at today’s Press conference for his presentation.

“I think that Conte was always clear about the national team,” Immobile said at today’s Press conference for his presentation.

“I missed out last time but it’s normal that I wasn’t called up. You need consistency for your club to play and by coming to Torino I’ll have the chance to play and score goals, but also for the Euros.

The forward also took time to praise Toro boss Giampiero Ventura, who was in charge during his capocannoniere season with the Granata in 2013/14 and remains at the helm today.

“I’m very attached to Ventura: he prepares for the match perfectly and makes his teams play very well,” said Immobile.

“I also learned a lot from Emery and Klopp – they are all different types of Coach.”
