Lazio doctors don’t want to take any risk, so Ciro Immobile won’t be available when the Biancocelesti host Juventus today.

Maurizio Sarri’s side meet Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico today. It kicks off at 17.00 UK time.

Ciro Immobile had sustained a calf injury while on international duty and underwent further medical examinations in the morning.

Sarri said yesterday that Immobile has clinically recovered from his injury and that a decision regarding his availability against Juventus was up to him and Lazio’s doctors.

Lazio have now confirmed the 31-year-old won’t be even on the bench for today’s match as Lazio’s doctors don’t want to take any risk.

Therefore, Pedro should replace the Italian striker playing as a false 9.

Immobile is the Serie A leading scorer with ten goals in 11 games.

The Italy international will be at the Stadio Olimpico anyway as club president Claudio Lotito will award him for becoming the most prolific striker in the club’s history with 161 goals.
