Ciro Immobile has reportedly left Italy’s training base in Coverciano to complete his transfer to Borussia Dortmund.

Torino and Juventus agreed late last week on a reported €19.5m deal to sell the 24-year-old to the Bundesliga giants, which he commented after playing in Italy’s Saturday draw with Republic of Ireland was just awaiting his signature on the contract.

On from this, reports are that Immobile has left the Azzurri’s training camp at Coverciano to fly out to Germany to pen what is believed to be a five-year contract worth €2m a season.

The forward is set to land in Dortmund in the early afternoon of Monday and also complete other formalities to the transfer, including medical tests.

Immobile is then set to return to Coverciano by this evening to continue preparations for the World Cup, having yesterday been confirmed as in Cesare Prandelli’s 23-man squad.
