Fiorentina Coach Vincenzo Montella has again stressed he will remain in charge at the Artemio Franchi next season.

The tactician is coming to the end of his second campaign at the helm of the Viola and has guided them to their second consecutive fourth place finish in Serie A.

Speaking to Sky Sport today, the former Roma striker also commented on Giuseppe Rossi’s chances of going to the World Cup in Brazil.

“Rossi to the World Cup? I don’t know,” Montella said. “The World Cup is a tough tournament, you need to be at the peak of your condition.

“It’s been hard this season without Rossi and Gomez, we have dreamed of playing them together since last summer!

“On paper with them on the pitch we could have got more points, but in terms of League position I don’t know what difference it would have made.

“It will be important to have them motivated for next season.

“My future is talked about too much, we need to keep trying to improve things. I need to improve too, I am still very young.

“Experience is more important than knowledge. I have made mistakes and I will make more. The important thing is to learn.

“Will I coach Fiorentina next season? Until someone says something to the contrary, yes.”
