Josip Ilicic’s agent has ruled out a January move away from Palermo, but not a transfer at the end of the season.

The Slovenian is being paired with a number of interested clubs, but his representative has insisted that a switch at the start of 2012 probably won’t happen.

“I’ve spoken to Palermo recently and nobody has told me anything,” Amir Ruznic stated. “I really don't believe Ilicic will leave in January.

“It would be hard for Palermo to replace him in the middle of the season, but it, perhaps, will be a different story in June…”

Ilicic has been paired with Inter and Juventus at home, while a number of Premiership sides are monitoring his situation.

“Ilicic is a player of great value and has great technique and quality,” Ruznic continued. “I could see him doing well in a big club.

“Maybe there has been contact between sides, but at the moment none of these clubs have spoken to me.”

The midfielder, signed in 2010 from Maribor, penned a new deal at the Barbera until June 2015 in the summer.
