Josip Ilicic took to his official Instagram account to say goodbye to Atalanta: ‘Five years of joy, happiness and magic, but also difficult moments.’

Ilicic has terminated his contract with La Dea, as confirmed by the club on Wednesday.

“It is not easy to find the right words to greet you, a set of emotions and memories I have lived in these five years,” the striker wrote on Instagram.

“Five years of joy, happiness and magic, but also pain and difficult moments. Thank you for supporting me and for always being there. Thanks to those who have been close to me, to all the fans, all the people who work inside the club, the coach and the teammates.

“Thank you for the affection you always showed me. Together we have made history, and history will never be forgotten. You will always be in my heart.”

  1. Give him a backroom role immediately, or something int he youth sector! His skill, experience and presence would be amazing.

  2. Great shout Rechin! Perhaps with someone like him coaching Italian youngsters we might start producing our magical number 10’s again.
