La Viola welcome the Bianconeri for one of the oldest Serie A rivalries in these Fiorentina vs. Juventus predictions. It’s arguably the biggest game of the season for the hosts, who always relish a chance to get one over the Turin giants.

Fiorentina vs. Juventus odds

Juventus to win – 8/5

Under 2.5 goals scored – 17/16

Juventus to keep a clean sheet – 9/4

Vlahovic to score first – 9/2

A draw at full-time at – 12/5

Fiorentina host Juventus on Saturday afternoon looking for their first consecutive win over the Bianconeri in almost 25 years. La Viola have had a mixed start to the season, with the 1-0 defeat to Udinese in midweek making it four games without a win in all competitions – three in Serie A – and no goals scored in those fixtures either.

But the two sides are arguable as closely matched as at any point in the past decade as shown by the fact that Vincnezo Italiano’s side took their first win against the Old Lady in six meetings in last season’s edition of this fixture, capitalising on Juve’s struggles to get back to the very top of the table.

Indeed, Juve might not be what they once were, but we back the away side to take all three points at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. Maximiliano Allegri’s side were unlucky not to beat a strong Roma side on Saturday night and their greater squad depth will allow for the manager to rotate following a mid-week round of fixtures.

Neither side has been particularly prolific in front of goal in the opening few rounds of fixtures and a punt on yet another low-scoring match on Saturday is worth considering. We recommend a bet on under 2.5 goals being scored whilst a bet on the Bianconeri to secure yet another clean sheet could well pay off.

If anyone is to score, either new boy Arkadiusz Milik, who netted on debut against Spezia, or Juventus’ star striker Dusan Vlahovic is likely to be the man to do it. The Serbian forward is off to a flying start in Serie A this season and is expected to be in the Capocannoniere race. Vlahovic proved that he is very much a complete forward in last weekend’s draw to Roma with an exquisite free-kick and did the same against Spezia, and is our tip to score anytime against his former club.

That having been said, the Bianconeri forward’s international teammate Luka Jovic has also looked impressive this season and will be pushing to secure a result for La Viola. Should Fiorentina’s new star forward score a punt on a draw could also very well prove a solid return.

Gaetano Castrovilli is the only significant absentee from Fiorentina’s squad with Vincenzo Italiano unlikely to make many changes to the starting line-up. Igor Julio returned to action from the bench in last weekend’s draw to Napoli and may be handed a start from the offset on Saturday.

Maximiliano Allegri’s injury list is constantly expanding with Adrien Rabiot joining Leonardo Bonucci, Angel Di Maria, Arthur, Paul Pogba and Federico Chiesa on the sidelines. Denis Zakaria is expected to step into the central midfield although Nicolo Rovella is also pushing for a start.
