Lille forward Jonathan Ikone is expected in Italy tomorrow for the first part of his Fiorentina medical, so he can start training with his new team from December 29.

According to multiple sources in Italy and France, the deal has been done for €15m plus up to €8m in bonuses and a 10 per cent cut of any future transfer fee.

Now RAI Sport Toscana reporter Sara Meini and Tuttomercatoweb both note that Ikone will be in Florence on Thursday for the first part of his medical tests.

He will then return to France for the Christmas holidays, before coming back to Italy so he can start training with his new teammates and coach Vincenzo Italiano on December 29.

Serie A is off for the Christmas break from tomorrow, with the next game scheduled for January 6.

Ikone is a 23-year-old with four senior caps for France, in which he scored one goal.

He plays primarily on the right side of a trident attack, but can also work as a trequartista or a support striker role as well.
