After 260 days on the sidelines, Zlatan Ibrahimovic sees the light at the end of the tunnel and could be just days away from making his return for Milan.

The 41-year-old Swedish veteran played through a knee injury in the final stages of last season to help the Rossoneri win their first league title in over a decade. Immediately after their victory, Ibrahimovic underwent a knee operation to resolve the issue, forcing him out of action for over half a year.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Ibrahimovic completed the entirety of today’s squad training session with his Milan teammates, showing incredibly positive signs at Milanello. He is now working to build up his match fitness and could be handed a call-up for the upcoming clash with Torino, scheduled for Friday night.

The Rossoneri have been in a run of poor form recently, seeing them pick up just one win from their last eight outings across Serie A, the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana. The return of Ibrahimovic to the squad could provide an intangible boost as they look to break back into the top four.
