The two Juventus” data-scaytid=”9″>Juventus players were on the original 26-man long-list for the trophy – the only Italian or Serie A representatives – but did not make it to the final 10.

The award will be handed out in Monaco on August 29 and was voted by a jury of journalists from each of UEFA’s member associations.

This is only the third edition of the award, introduced by UEFA President Michel Platini.

Naturally, Champions League winners Bayern Munich dominate with four nominees, but Europa League winners Chelsea have no representatives at all.

Champions League beaten Finalists Borussia Dortmund have only one player – Robert Lewandowski.
