Zlatan Ibrahimovic is concerned that Milan have “too many injuries” after Thiago Silva was ruled out of the Barcelona match.

The Brazilian defender limped off just 10 minutes into the 2-1 victory over Roma and is highly unlikely to recover in time for Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final.

“I felt in good shape, even if my back has been hurting for a few days. During a game there is far too much adrenaline to think about that,” Ibra told Milan Channel after bagging a brace.

“The important thing is that the team is doing well and so far I can say that my season has been pretty much perfect.

“Now an important moment arrives for us. It’s a shame about Thiago Silva and we hope his injury is not as bad as it looks.

“We already have too many injuries and something has to change, because this is the time of the campaign when we all have to be on the field giving our contribution.

“It’s a difficult game against Barcelona, who are the best team in the world. Obviously they are favourites for everyone, but we’ve got to take our chances. This is football.”

Ibrahimovic also insisted his supposed ‘row’ with Coach Massimiliano Allegri was a thing of the past.

“I wouldn’t be able to do what I am doing without the work of my teammates. If they are happy, then I am happy. That’s how a family works and it’s the same for me.”
