Roma’s Victor Ibarbo says his recovery is progressing well, and calls on fans to back the team.

The Colombian forward arrived in the capital from Cagliari during this winter’s transfer window, but has has been forced to sit out the last few games with injury.

It had been feared that a knee injury was still troubling the 24-year-old, but scans have confirmed that the injury has healed, and muscular problems are the only inhibition.

“My recovery is going well,” Ibarbo told Roma TV.

“The only thing I was looking for was the ‘ok’ on my knee.”

The striker then looked ahead to the Lupi’s fixture at the weekend, when they will face bottom side Parma.

“Every Sunday, every game is worth three points. We ask the fans to get behind us, we have to take three points.

“We can get to the top, but to do that we have to be ourselves and improve our performance.

“The fans can give us a hand, everything will be easier if they’re with us.”
