“I am available for the Coach and my teammates,” Ibarbo began to those gathered.

“They signed me as a winger, but if I have to play as a striker I'll have a chat with the Coach.”

Ibarbo faced immediate questions on a calf injury picked up.

“My reported injury was just a normal feeling, a small contraction at the calf. I don't think there's anything wrong.”

Ibarbo has a medical visit scheduled in Barcelona, but he says he is not worried.

“I spoke with the Coach before all else. I'm feeling fine. I need a visit every seven days, but I think we postponed the medical exam.”

The Colombian was also asked about his ambitions now that he is part of a major team.

“I've always had the ambition to have everything and now that I'm in a big team, I want to win everything that can be won.

“But to do that I need to work hard. I already feel like part of the group.

“Now all of the teams are doing well. We drew against Empoli, who plays just to stay in Serie A.

“We have players who are injured or called up with their national teams. We must move ahead as soon as possible.”

“You always want to improve. Now that I'm in a strong team, things are better. My goal-per-match rate is not very high, I work above all else for my team. You can't always score.

“My former Cagliari teammates [Radja] Nainggolan and [Davide] Astori lent me a big hand. They told me the place was beautiful, and so were the supporters, the international level. Bit by bit I'll become part of the group.”
