Brescia face a relegation six-pointer with Sampdoria and Beppe Iachini asked his team to “pretend it's the last game and we're one win from safety.”

The Rondinelle's situation is not so clear-cut, as they are in penultimate place and five points adrift of the safety zone.

“It is a match we must play as if it were our last. I asked the lads to pretend they're on 38 points at the final round and we're one win from safety. We must win this with our heads and our hearts.”

Sampdoria are in dire straits too, as they are only clear of the drop zone on goal difference.

Iachini confirmed he will look to Alessandro Diamanti to inspire his men in this crunch match at Marassi.

“Alessandro is one of the nicest guys I've ever met,” the Coach said of the former West Ham United star.

“He knows that there is a lot of expectation around him, but has never wanted to be considered a step above his teammates.

“He looked great in training with that explosive foot of his and in general the whole team looked to be in good shape.”

Simone Dallamano, Nicolas Cordova, Matteo Sereni, Cristiano Zanetti, Davide Possanzini and Pietro Accardi look to be out of action.

Diamanti should start behind Eder and Andrea Caracciolo, but there are reports Iachini could adopt a four-man defence.
