“People ask us to ensure the Serie A season is fair to the end and we are doing our all,” said Mutti.
“Unfortunately our positive attitude isn't getting us anywhere. There are situations that should allow us to win games, but don't, such as the red card for a non-existent penalty. This is what happens when you're propping up the table.”
The referee had a busy night overall, as Roma had Daniele De Rossi and Simone Perrotta sent off, while Karim Glik saw red for Bari in amongst three spot-kicks.
“I think De Rossi realised what he had done and did not even protest,” said Mutti of the elbowing offence.
“There was also a corner that incredibly was not given to us and that was where Roma's third goal started from.
“We experienced this game with great intensity and these incidents do give us regrets. It would be easy to get downhearted and give in, but we want to end this season with dignity. It is our duty.
“Opponents might think we'll let them get away with anything less than 100 per cent, but they are wrong and we will maintain that attitude to the very end.”
