Zamparini has publicly criticised the tactician on a number of occasions, and is unhappy with the team after defeats to Roma and Inter.
“I’m going to the pitch to Coach the team,” Iachini said as he left the meeting, but it’s believed another rift has opened with him and the President.
No fewer than six different men – Iachini, Davide Ballardini, Fabio Viviani, Giovanni Tedesco, Guillermo Schelotto and Giovanni Bosi – have sat on the Palermo bench this season, though Schelotto was never officially Coach as he didn’t have right paperwork.
Iachini was recalled after being sacked earlier in the season, and CalcioNews24 reports that Ballardini may also be brought back – despite being fired for falling-out with the squad.
