Napoli right-back Elseid Hysaj insists Juventus have not already won the Scudetto – “if it’s over with six points it’s pointless playing”.

The Bianconeri have won Serie A for the past seven years in a row, finishing four points ahead of the Partenopei last season despite their total of 91 points.

This season Massimiliano Allegri’s side have won all eight of their opening fixtures, but the Albanian isn’t ready to throw in the towel yet.

“It’s not over,” Hysaj insisted on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“It’s not over,” Hysaj insisted on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“If it’s over with six points it’s pointless playing. The Coach [Carlo Ancelotti] has always won and we hope to continue that, he gives everyone the chance to win and keep winning.

“He’s great, I’d always seen him on TV coaching the greats. Before being a great Coach he’s a great person. He laughed and jokes, he knows his place and he’s got something special.

“We can always improve, but for now we’re doing well and we want to continue on this path.

“Cristiano Ronaldo? He didn’t score against me, but he did get an assist. I’m happy for the team that he didn’t score against Napoli.”

Hysaj also discussed the Champions League, from the win over Liverpool to the upcoming game against Paris Saint-Germain.

“We can compete with any team, with no exceptions. If we beat Liverpool we can beat PSG too, we just have to focus on the things we do and do them calmly.

“We don’t want to focus too much on their attack, they’ll be worried about Napoli too and the fact that our defence didn’t concede a goal against Liverpool.

“We have a great team too, just like them.”

Before that match though, Ancelotti’s side must face Udinese.

“They’ll be difficult, like every year,” Hysaj warned.

“They’re coming off three defeats in a row so they’ll be even more focused, but they’ll find a Napoli just as focused on winning. We’re all nice and ready.”
