Benedikt Howedes has officially checked in for his Juventus medical ahead of a €12m transfer from Schalke.

Sky Sport Italia and Deutschland reported on Tuesday that Juve had agreed a deal to sign Howedes on loan with an option to buy, and the defender was pictured at the club’s J Medical facility the following morning.

The 29-year-old can play anywhere at the back, making it likely that Kwadwo Asamoah will go on to join Galatasaray.
