Juventus defender Federico Gatti scored an incredible own goal in a 4-2 loss against Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium but his teammates, including Dusan Vlahovic, tried to console the defender after the final whistle.

The Old Lady suffered their first Serie A defeat this season on Saturday losing 4-2 away in Reggio Emilia against Sassuolo.

The Neroverdi’s fourth goal came late in the second half and it was scored by Juventus defender Gatti.

The Italian centre-back received a sloppy pass from Wojciech Szczęsny and rushed to give the ball back to the goalkeeper, but Szczesny was going back between the sticks and could not reach the ball.

After the final whistle, Juventus players especially Vlahovic, tried to cheer up Gatti. The Serbian embraced his teammate and literally took him under his wing while leaving the pitch.

Other Juventus players hugged Gatti who looked extremely frustrated on his way to the tunnel at the end of the game.
