The 2014 Germany World Cup winner has joined Herta after terminating his contract with Juventus.

Khedira’s agreement with the Old Lady was due to expire at the end of the season and the 33-year-old hadn’t played any official game with the Bianconeri so far this season.

Despite that, he has claimed he was on good terms with Andrea Pirlo.

Juventus will reportedly save €4.6m on his €6m-a-year contract, but the Serie A giants have registered a slight capital loss after the midfielder’s exit.

Khedira moved to the Allianz Stadium as a free agent in January 2015, but Juventus paid commissions in the region of €1.3m to sign him.

Having terminated the player’s contract by mutual agreement, Juve reportedly lost €45,000.

The former Real Madrid midfielder played 145 games with the Old Lady and missed 92 matches due to injuries.
