Respected football agent Andrea D’Amico believes a club would have to dig deep, very deep, in order to sign Napoli’s Edinson Cavani.

D’Amico doesn’t represent the striker, but he was asked to estimate how much the player is worth on the transfer market.

“I would say that €50m is about the right figure at this moment in time,” the representative told Controcampo.

“Could he leave Napoli? Well, it all depends on when and which club make an effort to sign the Uruguayan.

“The real problem would be that if Napoli sell him then they’ll have to find a replacement. That is evidently not a simple thing to do.”

The former Danubio player, contracted to the Azzurri until June 2016, joined the club from Palermo in 2010 for €17m.
