With Juventus targeting Davide Frattesi for 2023-24, the Old Lady could line up with only Italian players next season.

The Bianconeri are said to have opened talks with the Neroverdi over the Italian tactician who was targeted by Roma last summer.

Official negotiations haven’t begun yet, but Frattesi is one of Juventus’ priorities for next season despite the uncertainties regarding their future following a 15-point deduction in Serie A and a possible new sporting trial looking into the so-called ‘salary manoeuvre.’

La Gazzetta dello Sport highlights that the purchase of Frattesi would allow Max Allegri to field a team only made by Italian players next season, provided nobody leaves in the summer and Frattesi moves to Turin.

Mattia Perin would be starting goalkeeper with Federico Gatti, Leonardo Bonucci and Daniele Rugani in a three-man defence.

Mattia De Sciglio would be the right wing-back with Davide Frattesi, Manuel Locatelli and Nicolò Fagioli in the middle of the park. Federico Chiesa would play down the left flank with Fabio Miretti behind Moise Kean.

Juventus ‘Italian XI’ (3-5-2): Perin; Gatti, Bonucci, Rugani; De Sciglio, Frattesi, Locatelli, Fagioli, Chiesa; Miretti; Kean.
