The brother of Keisuke Honda has put the Japanese midfielder’s recent good form down to an improved Milan under Pippo Inzaghi.

The 28-year-old failed to make much of an impact during his first six months with the Rossoneri, having joined the Milanese giants in January, but he has started the new season well, scoring four goals in six appearances to date.

According to brother Hiroyuki, the coaching appointment of ‘super professional’ Inzaghi has been the key to Honda’s eventual success at San Siro.

“What’s changed in my brother's head? Nothing,” the sibling told Tuttomercatoweb today.

“He’s committed like he always has been and looks for a solution when there is a problem.

“Instead, I believe that something has changed within the group. Keisuke sees Inzaghi as a super professional and respects him a lot. The Coach also likes players like my brother.

“[Keisuke] would like to win a trophy in a Milan shirt. My brother wants to come out of every challenge as the winner, but he knows that Serie A is a difficult championship.”
