Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain has been linked with a move to the MLS and a possible reunion with his brother, Federico, at DC United.

The MLS club could, according to Calciomercato.com be looking for a new star player since Wayne Rooney moved back to England as a player-coach at Derby County.

The Argentine attacker has returned to Turin after spending the quarantine period in South America with his family but doesn’t appear to be part of the plans at Allianz Stadium.

Higuain has therefore been linked with a return to River Plate, though his €7m a year contract could prove too costly for the side in Buenos Aires.

Federico Higuain, his three-year older brother, currently plies his trade as a trequartista at DC United and could help the side lure the centre-forward to the MLS.
