The former Real Madrid man has begun the season with a dry spell in front of goal, having yet to net in Serie A, against three goals managed in European competition already.

For one former forward at the San Paolo, only patience is required for the issue to resolve itself.

“It’s only a matter of time, we are talking about one of the strongest strikers in the world who everyone would want,” Bellucci has told Gianluca Di Marzio’s website today.

“De Laurentiis is right to back him, someone like him you would even wait two years for. It is fortune that for the fans and the club the President has given them this gift.

“For a striker just a spark is enough and the goals will come in an avalanche, and then, he has already scored in Europe.

“From Higuain a goal and assist each game is always expected, but even when he does not score he remains valuable to the team.”
