El Tri frustrated the Seleçao in this 0-0 World Cup Group A clash, but also had several of their own chances to score.

“We had a great match against a great opponent and showed what we can do,” he told media in Fortaleza.

“Mexico proved we are willing to play against, attack and cope with any team in the world. It was a very balanced game.”

Goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa was Man of the Match with a series of stunning saves on Neymar, Thiago Silva and Paulinho.

“Ochoa responded well, as we knew he would, with three particularly important stops. Up front, the ball always went a little bit off target, skimming the woodwork.

“The team showed confidence, suffered under pressure and never lost its composure.”

Mexico are joint top of Group A with Brazil, as they both have four points, but are second on goal difference.
