The midfielder has earned a recall to the Seleçao for Thursday’s friendly match in Geneva thanks to his fine form for the Biancocelesti.
“Italy have a truly strong defence and that is their most important element,” Hernanes said in his Press conference.
“If we are to win this game, then we will have to play very well in defence too.”
Italy and Brazil will cross paths again in the Confederations Cup on June 22 and Hernanes aims to be back.
“I hope to play in the Confederations Cup. I’ve already told a friend that I can’t go to his wedding over the summer!”
