The Argentine centre-back is reportedly unwanted by new Roma Coach Zdenek Zeman and he is understood to be free to discuss terms with other parties.

Bologna are believed to be in the running and according to the Corriere dello Sport, their director general Roberto Zanzi will hold talks with the defender today.

The Rossoblu are understood to be offering the former Manchester United and Real Madrid man a €650,000-a-year contract for two seasons, which would represent a 50 per cent pay-cut for the veteran.

Heinze has been called up by Roma for their pre-season training camp in Riscone, which begins today.
