Samir Handanovic admits he’s waiting for Inter on the contract renewal after parrying a Luca Toni penalty.

The goalkeeper kept out the spot-kick in tonight’s 3-0 victory over Hellas Verona, the sixth he has saved from the last seven faced.

Samir Handanovic admits he’s waiting for Inter on the contract renewal after parrying a Luca Toni penalty.

The goalkeeper kept out the spot-kick in tonight’s 3-0 victory over Hellas Verona, the sixth he has saved from the last seven faced.

“After the draw with Parma we had to get back on track, playing with heart and grit,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“We managed it and it was not easy to win here at the Bentegodi. I was satisfied with the clean sheet more than the penalty save, as it hadn’t happened for a while.”

The Slovenia international’s contract is up in June 2016 and he was asked about updates, but gave a very negative response.

“We’ll see, I still don’t know what the club wants to do. So far there have been no steps forward.”
