“It was a true battle,” he told the club's official website. “We suffered a lot in the first half – Cagliari were strong.
“But after the interval we were able to find the goals to win.
“Astori deflected the ball in. There has been a lot of discussion but the referee made the right decision. Cavani [who was in an offside position] did not touch the ball.
“We managed to win and we are very happy to get three points.”
