Hakimi unveiled a shirt with the name of his ex-teammate on the pitch and dedicated him the win with an Instagram post.

Abarhoun was diagnosed with a stomach cancer back in October in February, reports Il Corriere della Sera.

He was playing for Thurkish side Çaykur Rizespor at that time, he played his last game against Basaksehir on Ferbuary 24.

Former Juventus defender Medhi Benatia also paid tribute to the central defender on social media.

“To Him we belong and to Him we will return,” the Moraccan defender wrote on Instagram.

“All my condolences to the family and loved ones of Mohamed Abarhoun who left too early.”
