The agent of Paris Saint-Germain wing-back Achraf Hakimi confirms he ‘loves Inter and was happy’ at San Siro, but the future is ‘not about what he wants.’

There had been reports over the last few weeks that Hakimi was feeling nostalgia for the Nerazzurri and wanted a return to the club he left for €60m plus €11m in performance-related bonuses in 2021.

His time at PSG has been full of ups and downs, with suggestions the 24-year-old is looking to move on already to a new experience.

That could include a comeback to the team that is about to play the Champions League Final against Manchester City, following in the footsteps of another returning star like Romelu Lukaku.

“Achraf is a PSG player who still has three years on his contract,” agent Alejandro Camano told Interdipendenza.net.

“Would he return to Inter? It’s not about what he wants, the reality is that he is PSG’s player. He loves Inter, he was happy in Milan, but as of today that is the reality of the situation.”

Another potential turnaround for Hakimi could be a move back to Real Madrid, which is where Inter purchased him from for €43m in September 2020.

This season, the Morocco international has made 39 competitive appearances for PSG, contributing five goals and six assists.
