Francesco Guidolin concedes Udinese “had a bad night” after their 4-0 defeat at the Juventus Stadium.

Paul Pogba scored two fantastic goals, followed by Mirko Vucinic and Alessandro Matri.

“Pogba is a great player and not just for his goals. I have to say we’re dealing with a real prospect for the future,” said Friuli boss Guidolin.

“We had a bad night. I was convinced my team would be able to play the game, but we did practically nothing tonight.

“There is little to add. Juventus thoroughly deserved this win. When we don’t have Antonio Di Natale, it is undoubtedly more difficult for us to play, but that’s not enough to explain how in the first 15 minutes we managed to only pass straight to our opponents.

“I really cannot explain this performance to myself, as we had been in good shape. It’s a shame, we looked bad out there and that’s all. Gigi Buffon didn’t make a save tonight and I take the blame, as something wasn’t prepared properly.”

Guidolin was asked about his future, as he has hinted at taking a step back from management.

“I want to stay in Udine in future and in my club, even if in another role.”
