Udinese Coach Francesco Guidolin has hailed his side's spirit after they claimed a 2-0 win against Sampdoria on Monday evening.

Goals from Danilo and Antonio Di Natale were enough to give the Zebrette the three points, and the 57-year-old has claimed that the team spirit shown could get them into Europe come May.

“I have said before that the spirit of the team is important,” he told reporters after the game. “And that was the case today.

“I do not want to talk about Europe – we must do things slowly and immediately think about the next game.

“Our spirit has increased but so has our quality. I want to see that sort of attitude in our upcoming games.”

He also commented on the performance of Di Natale, who grabbed his ninth goal of the campaign.

“Di Natale once again showed his quality and his class. He sacrifices so much for the team.”
