Numerous tacticians have been linked the Azzurri bench as a result, but the former Parma tactician doesn’t think the Italian Football Federation will contact him.
“The Italy job will not be handed to me,” the 57-year-old told Mediaset after the 1-0 win over Genoa on Tuesday.
“Saying that, I would like to take charge of a national side. It would be very interesting work and would allow me to go and work abroad.”
Guidolin has often said that Udinese will be his last club in Italy. He’s already worked abroad in the past when he was handed the Monaco bench during 2005-06.
