“Neither Fredy nor I had any say in Inter’s negotiations with Juventus. That was something only the clubs were involved in.
“No one asked him whether he truly wanted to go to Juve or not. The only news we ever got was that the move was going through and that we had to sort out the final details with Juventus.
“Then everyone knows what happened, but no one ever asked me or Fredy if we wanted the move.”
